a god that walked amongst men
my condolences to all of steves family at home and around the world this man had a huge impact on me and millions more like me if it wasnt for steve irwin then the conservation of some of the world most amazing creatures would still be in jeopardy.once again my thoughts go out to his immediate family and his extended family at australia zoo.
Truely an awesome man
My wife phoned me this morning and my brother emailed me before i was even out of bed to tell me the news. Both were in shock at the news that the man who seemed to be indestructable was gone. As i write this i can only think that he was a person for whom all life was an adventure, a thrill to enjoy and explore. Steve always seemed to have to be somewhere in a hurry and when he got there he was overwhelemed by what he saw everytime. I loved the almost child like energy to explore which he had in abundance. A man of passion caring and intelligence. You could tell he adored his family even more than the animals that drove him to do the things he did. The world has gotten a little dimmer today. Rest in peace Steve, my thoughts and those of my family are with Terri and the children.
Forever Loved, Never Forgotten

Your work in conservation was to be marvelled at, as was your knowledge of and passion for wildlife. The world has lost a shining star. The herp community will alwas remember you.
Words cannot express my condolences for your family, friends and colleagues. A great man who will be sorely missed.
G'night, ya liddle bewty!!
you did so much to promote reptiles and all other animals, you truly were and still are a legend. to begin with when i was told i thought it was a lie and i truly wish it was. my thoughts and best wishes go out to terri, bindi and bob,and may you both follow in your fathers footsteps. R.I.P. you shall never be forgotten
RIP
Such a great loss the whole world has suffered...
I have found it hard to come to terms with the fact that the crocodile has passed away, the reason for this is because he had so much energy and it seems that that energy would be impossible to kill... In my opinion it hasn't, I think his energy and love for animals and nature will carry on through all the great conservation and education efforts he made. He did great work changing the attitudes of people towards the worlds most feird animals and educated so many children and in my opinion has had great influence on the younger generations.
RIP Stevo.. your an absolute legend!
